Clinical case description:
It is described that the buccal and palatal portion of the ridge, following tooth removal will suffer minor vertical but major horizontal bone tissue loss in the traditional socket healing. In socket healing filled with biomaterial this loss seems to be reduced by the action of the biomaterial that fills the socket improving the final restorative results. This clinical case describes an alveolar preservation procedure prior to implant insertion and restoration in an 34 year-old male patient with a central incisor lost due to traumatic sports injury.
