Clinical case description:

A 50 year old , male patient had missing teeth 35, 36, 37 for many years. He is non smoker and wanted an implant supported prosthesis due to functional need. Staged GBR was done in 2002 under L.A. During surgery, flaps were opened and the buccal plate was perforated to promote blood vessels and bone growth. The edentulous area was grafted with Geistlich Bio_Oss® and covered by Geistlich Bio-Gide®. The healing period was around 9 months and the site was re-opened for implant placement. The grafted bone provided sufficient volume to support two implants which were connected to a 3-unit bridge. The Patient was satisfactied with the bridge, in function and esthetics. Now the bridge is maintained well and serves for the patient for more than 10 years!
