Clinical case description:
Placed two implants (#29, 30) approximately 2 years prior to the soft tissue graft. I felt there was not adequate keratinized tissue on the facial aspect of the implants for long-term maintenance. I reviewed grafting options with the patient and she didn't want to use palatal connective tissue or do a FGG so we elected to use Geistlich Mucograft®. I did a split thickness reflection and strapped the Geistlich Mucograft® to the periosteum. The patient had little to no discomfort with the procedure and went from almost no keratinized tissue on the facial aspect of #29 to approximately 4-5 mm.
