Clinical case description:

The root of 23 presents a fracture under the anterior bridge, so we need to change the prosthetic concept in this 56 years-old patient. A dental implant will be put on 21.

As we can see on the CBCT, the alveolar ridge is 3.5 mm wide, which does not allow to put an implant immediately without bone management. The ridge expansion technique with piezosurgery is selected, in order to put a 3.5 mm wide, and 9 mm long implant. During surgery, we filled the defect with Geistlich Bio-Oss® biomaterial and covered with Geistlich Bio-Gide® membrane.
